The
front nine is characterized by large, elevated, and sloping greens
that are often angled to the midline of the fairway. There are
some mounds which traverse the fairway in the tee shot landing
areas on holes 1,3, 4 and 7. Water also comes into play on holes
3 and 6 thru 9. Wind is often a factor due to the links style.
The
back nine was completed and opened for play in 1992 and has a
distinctly different character than the front nine. The greens
are smaller, slightly raised, and plateaued instead of sloped
back to front. Generally there is more room on the tee shots,
but a premium is placed on approach shots and the short game.
If you can get the putter working you can score really well on
the back side.
